Since his induction into the American Institute of Floral Designers in 2002, Ken Norman, Jr., has been an active participant in countless aspects of the industry. A few highlights of Ken’s participation in AIFD include the National Membership Committee (2004-2009), and the Education Committee (2007-2010). In 2010, Ken designed the awards and induction night ceremonies at the renowned AIFD Symposium “Revolution” in Boston, MA. Currently Ken sits on the National Board as a director at large.

On a regional level Ken has been an active board member. He has served all elected seats on the board of directors and has been instrumental in organizing numerous design shows and fund raisers for the region.

Ken has been a featured designer for AIFD Across America (2005). Additionally, Ken’s design work has been featured at the world renowned Philadelphia Flower Show (2003, 2004, 2005 & 2008), and was Chairman of the AIFD exhibit in 2007, and again in 2011. Mr. Norman is a frequent presenter of local garden clubs and church groups.

Additionally, Ken conducts hands-on demonstrations to many of the groups. He is an instructor at local community schools and the world renown New York Botanical Garden. A third generation florist, Ken works at his family’s retail florist in Franklin Lakes, NJ.
